Zelensky threatened to deprive deputies of their most valuable assets
President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky plans to submit to the Verkhovna Rada a bill on liability for button-mashing and absenteeism, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was announced by the presidential representative in the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, the presidential website reports.
“The issue of responsibility for pushing buttons is not spelled out. By the way, one of the bills that we will introduce is on the issue of responsibility for typing buttons, for deputy absenteeism, responsibility when a deputy votes and has a conflict of interest with the bill for which he votes,” Stefanchuk said.
According to him, the goal of the presidential team is to bring European norms and standards of parliamentarism to Ukraine.
“If this does not happen, we will continue to live on the basis of some kind of agreements, incomprehensible and hidden. We don’t want this and we will take a completely different approach to policy formation,” Stefanchuk added.
