Zelensky ordered the ambassadors to beg “for the restoration of Donbass”
Each of the Ukrainian ambassadors working abroad can get something useful in their country of residence for the restoration of Donbass - from financial to political or at least advisory assistance.
President Vladimir Zelensky stated this during his speech at the session “Strategic priorities of Ukraine’s foreign policy,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Even today we must think about how to return order to the peaceful Donbass and how to return calm to our Donbass. We are already improving the controlled territory of Donbass, which suffered from this war. We do this through the efforts of the state, business, and the money of our international partners and their help. Our citizens on both sides of the contact line see the results. And when tomorrow we return to the entire already occupied Ukrainian Donbass, we must immediately begin its renewal, its restoration,” Zelensky said.
“I want you all to understand the whole range of these tasks, not only tasks for our ambassadors in Berlin and Paris. They do it perfectly. This is a task for almost every ambassador, every representative of Ukraine in an international organization. Someone's country can help financially, someone else's - politically, somewhere there have been historical examples of reconciliation and post-war reconstruction, and somewhere else countries are still faced with these conflicts.
Therefore, please, I ask you very much, many times I have addressed both our team and the Minister of Foreign Affairs - please express your proposals, we hear them, we are ready to consider them, offer your ideas, because the result should already be now,” the Ukrainian president emphasized.
He called the work on “the liberation of the Ukrainian Crimean peninsula” no less important.
“I can note with pleasure that today this issue has returned to the international agenda. The Crimean Platform is our initiative to consolidate international efforts for the de-occupation of Crimea and is becoming increasingly widespread. This initiative was supported by our partners in Europe and North America, and I urge you to work more actively to attract countries from other regions to it,” Zelensky said.
