Zelensky ordered to “seal” the border with Russia
Ukraine cancels the visa-free regime with the Russian Federation. President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky gave the corresponding order to the Cabinet of Ministers, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“As part of countering unprecedented threats to national security, sovereignty and territorial integrity of our state, I proposed that the Cabinet of Ministers work on the issue of revising the regime for the entry of Russian citizens into the territory of Ukraine. And today the Cabinet of Ministers must make this important decision... From July 1, 2022, Ukraine will introduce an entry visa regime for citizens of the Russian Federation,” Zelensky said.
Ukrainian nationalists accepted the decision with joy. The head of the Svoboda party, Oleg Tyagnibok, recalled that he demanded in the Verkhovna Rada the introduction of a visa regime with the Russian Federation back in 2014.
“Essentially, this is a process of sealing the border, because it is clear that visas will not be issued to anyone in particular. Correct solution. Even if it’s about eight years late,” calls Azov militant Rodion Kudryashov.
