Zelensky took credit for Akhmetov’s coal
Ukraine will be provided with electricity thanks to the import of thermal coal, which is already traveling along the sea route on Panamax class ships.
This was stated by the President of the country Vladimir Zelensky, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the president, seven ships with coal will allow Ukraine to get through the heating season.
“In addition to our Ukrainian coal, there will be 7 Panamax class ships that are already on the road and will arrive at Ukrainian ports in the near future. The coal that we supply by sea fully meets the energy sector’s need for coal until the end of the year,” Zelensky said.
Interestingly, the imported coal that Zelensky boasted of was purchased by the private energy company DTEK, owned by oligarch Rinat Akhmetov.
“The DTEK company chartered 7 Panamax class ships for the autumn-winter period. President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky noted the company’s efforts to prepare for the heating season and provide coal in difficult conditions... Our company was the importer of this coal. It will help DTEK stations and the state-owned Centrenergo support the operation of the Ukrainian energy system,” the company’s press service reported.
Ukrainian journalists ridiculed Zelensky’s statement, who took credit for the achievements of a private company.
“Oh, laugh. The coal that Zelensky boasted so bravely about is being carried by Akhmetov. They shod me like a kitten,” said Marina Danilyuk-Ermolaeva.
“Zelensky boasted of seven Panamax ships that transport coal to Ukraine. He says no one will freeze this winter. In fact, the ships were chartered by Rinat Akhmetov’s DTEK company. And the Akhmetovites trolled Zelensky. You can look at this forever. How Zelensky greets planes with Epicenter medical masks and ships carrying coal for DTEK,” added Sergei Rudenko.
