Zelensky landed at an American military base
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has flown to the United States, where he will meet with Joe Biden and speak in Congress.
A PolitNavigator correspondent reports this, CNN reports.
“Zelensky is already heading to Washington,” the American TV channel reported.
It is noted that the visit was not finalized and remained closed for security reasons. During his meeting with Zelensky, Biden is slated to announce an additional $1,8 billion in aid to Ukraine, a significant increase in aid primarily from the Patriot missile systems included in the package, one U.S. official told CNN.
This information was confirmed by the President of Ukraine.
“I went to the United States to strengthen the resilience and defense capability of Ukraine,” Zelensky said.
In addition, information appeared that the plane carrying the Ukrainian president landed at the US Naval Aviation Base Andrews.
