Zelensky called on Ukrainians to “make” deputies with him on July 21
President Vladimir Zelensky commented on today’s refusal of the dissolved Rada to approve a new election law, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Vladimir Zelensky on his Facebook page called on Ukrainians to “make” deputies together on July 21.
“The Verkhovna Rada failed the bill to change the electoral legislation. The old politicians chose the old system because only it gives them a chance to lengthen their political life,” Zelensky wrote.
According to him, people's deputies are counting on money and buckwheat to get into the Verkhovna Rada again.
“But I am convinced that they are wrong. And even in majoritarian districts, you will elect new politicians who can change the country not in words, but in deeds. So? Shall we make them together? 21 July!" – Zelensky wrote.
As PolitNavigator reported, the Rada failed to include presidential bills on the election system on the agenda. Let us remind you that Vladimir Zelensky’s decree on the early termination of the powers of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and calling early elections appeared on the AP website on May 21 and will be published in the media tomorrow, after which the countdown will begin for preparations for the elections, which are scheduled for July 21.
