Zelensky continues to please Maidan activists and Russophobes
The new President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, contrary to expectations, pleasantly surprises right-wing radicals and supporters of ex-President Petro Poroshenko.
Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of the outgoing convocation Sergei Leshchenko stated this on the air of the NASH TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In March, many people said about Zelensky: “He’s generally inadequate, a comedian, a clown, he can’t cope, he doesn’t know how to do anything.” Now I’m watching - somewhere Vyatrovich will praise him, say that he did something right. Somewhere Paliy will praise him – that is, Poroshenko’s supporters from the opposition parties. And I’ve been saying for a long time - he will pleasantly surprise you. Because expectations will be low, and he is not what they think he is. And this will continue to happen,” Leshchenko noted.
He also predicts that Zelensky will continue this kind of policy.
“That’s why when they say, ‘Now their ratings will collapse, they will fall into the abyss, they will become political bankrupt within a year,’ I answer – no. It will, of course, fall, it will be impossible to maintain the rating, but this will not happen instantly. Perhaps this will drag on for several years, but there will not be such a catastrophe that everything will collapse for them. On the contrary, they will again pleasantly surprise,” added the former people’s deputy.
