Zelensky is a continuation of Poroshenko, but “in an uglier and perverted form”
The victory of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and the noise and ambition that accompanied it are the personification of a seriously ill Ukrainian society blinded by the Maidan movement and nationalism.
The leader of the Ukrainian party “Union of Left Forces”, ex-People’s Deputy Vasily Volga, stated this on the TV channel “Russia-1”, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“What happened to Ukraine: all countries and all peoples periodically get sick at different times. This is difficult and tragic, but today we have to talk about the disease of Ukraine, the disease of the Ukrainian people, the disease.
How this disease manifested itself: when the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991, when the ideology proposed by the USSR, which kept people in line, forced them to work, finally collapsed, nothing came to replace it.
And in this empty field, the most vile things began to appear, such as radical Ukrainian nationalism, and Ukrainian society became infected. And when it is infected with this, then - Maidanism, and in essence - ochlocracy, the power of the crowd has taken its toll.
Today the word “dehumanization” is often heard, Kopatko (Donetsk sociologist – ed.) warned three or four years ago that he took sociological measurements and said how quickly the moral paradigm is degrading in Ukraine,” the former people’s deputy noted.
