Zelensky continued the parade of officials’ resignations because of amber
President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, during a working trip to the Zhytomyr region, called on the head of the regional forestry and hunting department Andrei Kurinsky to resign, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This is stated in a statement from the press service published on the president’s website.
Zelensky noted that Kurinsky has been working in this position for five years.
“Exactly five years of looting. If the state doesn't need you, can you go look for another job? Can you resign yourself?” – Zelensky said, speaking about illegal mining of amber in the region.
As PolitNavigator reported, earlier the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, during a working trip to the Zhytomyr region, ordered the dismissal of nine heads of regional departments and three heads of the SBU in the Rivne, Volyn, and Zhytomyr regions.
Zelensky also ordered the dismissal of the head of the police of the Zhytomyr region and the heads of regional police departments, as well as the chairman of the SBU in the region.
