Zelensky failed in his attempt to reach an agreement with Putin
Intensifying the fight against the opposition, repression and sanctions against objectionable TV channels are the beliefs of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, which were revealed after his inability to come to an agreement with Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Arsen Avakov, stated this on the 1+1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Avakov, Zelensky’s previous peace-loving rhetoric with which he came to power was just one version of his behavior.
“The last months for me have been a completely different internal state. You know, when we went more than a year ago to the Paris, Normandy summit, I told the president that you have no right not to try, you, of course, will try and see. But, unfortunately, my experience suggests that it is unlikely that anything will work out with Putin. Because for Putin, an independent Ukraine is nonsense.
And he was determined to do whatever it took to try. He is a man with a critical mind, and he became convinced that this does not work. Now, if for him before this was one of the versions of behavior, now, I believe that the manner of behavior that he is now demonstrating is his beliefs. I hope so,” Avakov said.
