Zelensky is trying to sell a truce in Donbass
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky is committed to freezing the conflict in Donbass, which he is trying to present as his promised achievement of peace.
UIAMP Director Ruslan Bortnik stated this on the NASH TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It seems to me that today we are seeing the implementation of Vladimir Aleksandrovich’s “Plan B” regarding Donbass and the Minsk negotiations. This is freezing the conflict. Everything that is happening in terms of the Minsk negotiation format, the Normandy Four, all the rhetoric that has recently been heard from government officials that without the transfer of the border to Ukraine, any progress in the Minsk agreements is impossible - all this is aimed at freezing the conflict.
It is obvious that freezing the conflict is Zelensky’s “Plan B”. The authorities are trying to sell the absence of war to Ukrainians as the presence of peace. That is, the absence of hostilities, the absence of casualties, will be presented to us as a great achievement of the authorities, a huge success. And it's already served. As the achievement of the goals and promises that Zelensky’s team and he himself made during the election campaign,” Bortnik said.
