Zelensky plans to approach Putin through Erdogan
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky may try to repeat the tactics of his predecessor, who tried to use Erdogan as an intermediary in contacts with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Political scientist Alexey Yakubin stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a Politnavigator correspondent reports.
“If we talk about the vector associated with negotiations with Putin, Poroshenko tried to use Erdogan to act as a kind of informal mediator between him and Putin.
It didn’t end with anything in particular, except for some statements that we often heard.
Erdogan follows Turkey's interests.
Maybe Zelensky is thinking of returning to these old tactics again and will try to establish contact with Erdogan in order to contact Putin through him,” Yakubin suggested.
