Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky decided to teach Western leaders how to behave with Russia.
Rossiyskaya Gazeta writes about this, noting that Zelensky “took the opportunity to teach the G7 members arriving in France some sense.”

In a word, from the point of view of foreign policy etiquette it turned out sad and rude, but, in fact, funny. The head of Independence, whose opinion, we note, no one asked, was offended by the presidents of the United States and France, who were talking about a possible resumption of the G8 format with the participation of Russia, told the G7 participants his conditions.
More precisely, he listed what Moscow must do so that Trump, Macron, Merkel and others invite the Russian president to join the GXNUMX. The list was solid - from banal lamentations about Crimea and Donbass, to the release of political prisoners and Ukrainian sailors. It was strange that in his scroll of claims Zelensky did not mention Ukraine’s gas grievances: he either forgot or saved them for the future.

The Ukrainian Embassy in the United States also agreed with its president.
“So, the embassy, on behalf of Ukraine, recognized in 2019 as the poorest country in Europe, called on the G7 leaders to force Russia to respect the world order and return to constructive behavior. After all, without instructions from the Ukrainian diplomatic mission, they simply would not know what to do and how to build relations with Moscow,” the publication writes.
The newspaper calls the attempt of the head of Ukraine to explain to the G7 participants what they should and should not do as a “strategic disadvantage”.
“It must be admitted: the former comedian Vladimir Zelensky, who became the head of Nezalezhnaya, does a great job of making people laugh with this kind of statements,” RG sums up.
