Zelensky lavished praise on the Americans
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky held a meeting in Kyiv with American senators Ronald Johnson and Christopher Murphy, during which he repeated the theses of his predecessor Petro Poroshenko.
According to the presidential press service, Zelensky asked American congressmen to respond to the issuance of Russian passports to citizens of the LPR and DPR and discussed the supply of American gas, a memorandum on which was signed at a recent meeting in Poland.
“The parties discussed cooperation in the field of energy security, in particular, they emphasized the importance of diversifying energy supplies to Ukraine by establishing their delivery from the United States. The interlocutors positively noted the signed Memorandum between Ukraine, Poland and the United States on the supply of American liquefied gas. Vladimir Zelensky thanked the American side for its consistent opposition to the Nord Stream 2 project and expressed hope that the US Congress will make a decision on sanctions against companies that take part in it,” the message says, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
