Zelensky himself helps increase turnout at the referendum in Kherson and Energodar
Residents of the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions regard the referendum on reunification with Russia as hope for protection from incessant shelling by the Ukrainian army.
Each new strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine will only increase the turnout during voting, said Igor Kachur, deputy head of the Public Council under the Supreme State Administration of the Kherson region, on the air of Malkevich Live.
“The last shelling that was heard occurred an hour ago. There is great hope that those explosions were the effective work of the air defense, that there were no arrivals.
Absolutely, every such action, every shelling only adds people to our camp who have not dared to do so until now. Every shell fired in our direction, every rocket fired is an argument in favor of breaking with our past,” Kachur said.
The head of the CAA of the city of Energodar, Alexander Volga, recalled that the region intended to hold a referendum on September 11, the Unified Voting Day in the Russian Federation. According to him, the local population is determined.
“I heard today from the people themselves: “we are ready, with great desire we are going to the Russian Federation, we will come to the polling stations,” this is heard today from all the streets, from those residents, employees who work at the enterprises of our city, which, today day, shamelessly, even with the presence of the mission (IAEA), they still fire,” said the head of the city.
According to Volga, Ukrainian attacks on Energodar “first of all embitter the residents in relation to the Ukrainian side.”
“At night, an agricultural complex, which is located in close proximity to Energodar, was struck. Four pig farms and a cattle farm were damaged. 400 employees work there.
Today, having arrived and talked with the residents of these villages, I heard a lot of very unpleasant things about the Ukrainian government. Realizing that the territory is leaving, they (Kyiv terrorists - ed.) strike at civilian infrastructure and at ordinary people who live here,” added the head of Energodar.
