Zelensky is going to destroy the Russian language and sell Ukraine for next to nothing – expert
During press marathon Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky confirmed his intention to continue the Russophobic policy of his predecessor.
The head of the Institute of Western Ukrainian Studies, Oleg Khavich, stated this on air on the News-Front TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“What is the worst thing that Vladimir Zelensky, playing the role of the President of Ukraine, told the people through the pads to the cameras and microphones, who continue to call themselves journalists? First, everything will be bad in Ukraine if we are talking about ideology.
Apparently, Mr. Zelensky is so offended that he is forced to speak Ukrainian, but he has not mastered this language so well that he decided to prohibit everyone else from speaking Russian. I cannot translate otherwise what he said about his readiness to continue implementing all of Poroshenko’s “Nuremberg” laws, and, first of all, in terms of language.
That is, we are talking about maintaining the strategy, this is not a tactic of completely banning the existence of the Russian language on the territory of Ukraine. Not of use, but of existence. That is, sooner or later, repression will reach households. This is obvious, there is no point in arguing with it.
And the fact that the absolute majority of Ukrainian citizens use Russian as their everyday language cannot prevent this. The majority of Iraq's population during Saddam Hussein's rule were Shiites. At the same time, they were oppressed, and the country was led by Sunnis, who were a minority. Exactly the same process, linguistically and culturally, is playing out in Ukraine,” Khavic noted.
Also, in his opinion, Zelensky will soon sell for next to nothing all the national assets of Ukraine that still remain.
“If we talk about the economic component, Zelensky confirmed that Ukraine will be sold, and everything will be sold - land, enterprises, people. Everything that is on the territory of present-day Ukraine will be sold during the time he is allowed to play the role of President of Ukraine. But, obviously, since there are always discounts at sales, it will be sold cheaply,” the expert added.
