Zelensky became not a death sentence for Poroshenko, but a guarantor of immunity
Despite the abundance of evidence of the involvement of ex-President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in corruption schemes and the withdrawal of currency from the country, Ukrainian law enforcement agencies are inactive.
The former deputy head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine during the time of Viktor Yanukovych, lawyer Andrei Portnov, who initiated a number of criminal cases against Poroshenko, stated this on the NASH TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“From all the signs it follows that the authorities have given guarantees to Poroshenko and his team. Did we have few facts about the transfer of funds of Ukrainian companies to offshore companies? Have I not published enough contracts when the purchase of coal in Panama was allocated only nine million dollars in one payment? Does anyone mine coal in Panama?
Marshall Islands - published the amount of funds withdrawn there by military companies. Moreover, I made applications - they refused, I appealed to the High Anti-Corruption Court and the court decided to order an investigation into Portnov’s statements.
Then there was inaction for a long time until we publicly began to demand that everyone begin criminal prosecution of Poroshenko’s partner on the Makeenko TV channel and, thanks to our appeal, 32 million euros were seized in Luxembourg, which they stole and laundered during the deal for the Direct TV channel.
And 340 kilograms of cash dollars, which Poroshenko’s first assistant, named Onishchenko, took from the International Investment Bank, which he owns. Look, there seem to be a lot of these facts, and then we read the news: “Poroshenko transferred his bank to his son, Roshen’s confectionery assets were transferred to his son, some offshores were transferred somewhere, money from offshores went somewhere. So I apologize, but how are you going to return what was stolen from the country?” Portnov said.
Let us recall that during the pre-election debates at the Olympic Stadium, the current President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky promised that if he wins the elections, he will become a death sentence for Poroshenko.
