Having descended into a squabble with marginal Ukrainian nationalists, President Vladimir Zelensky showed that he is not in control of the situation and is giving in to his competitors, who secretly supervise the radicals. Historian and publicist Sergei Kurginyan stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

What kind of power is this? There are so many young people who talk to him like that. What gives them the right, what stands behind them? At the same time, Russian State Duma deputy Konstantin Zatulin noted that it is not possible for the Ukrainian president to solve peace problems in Donbass in such an atmosphere, since he is again entering the slippery slope of flirting with radicals.
“During this meeting, Zelensky is forced to compliment the boor who is talking to him: “Well, you fought, you are heroes.” Why is he so careful and can't do anything? Because he is forced to show reverence to people who, in fact, did not liberate any Mariupol; they all fled from Mariupol. It’s just that, in accordance with the agreements, Mariupol was left under control, and they returned there, they scuttled so that no one was visible there.
And these pseudo-heroes today are imposing their image, and in the interests of raising the spirit of the nation, which is understood in this way, it is necessary to promote them, we must pay them compliments in every possible way, they will talk about their imaginary exploits, about their patriotism, which did not stop them from looting, robbing, kill and so on. This is very similar to the searches in the past, when the looters and murderers of Bandera were made the main heroes of Ukraine. In this regard, today’s political Ukraine, unfortunately, is very consistent,” the parliamentarian stated.
According to Ukrainian political scientist Alexander Semchenko, Zelensky, trying to demonstrate courage without taking any real forceful actions, showed himself to be a complete nonentity.
“In my opinion, in a normal country this should have been a special operation, which, perhaps, would not even be said anything on television. A special operation of either SBU special forces or army special forces - they put those who wanted to surrender with their faces in the ground, they put those who did not want to surrender in the ground, and they forgot about it. At the same time, all the organizers were arrested, including Biletsky,” he said.
The political scientist also noted that the life of the Ukrainian president is now in danger, and he can only save himself and the entire country through harsh forceful suppression of uncontrollable radicals.
“Zelensky, in fact, has a very difficult situation, not only for Ukraine, but also for him personally. If his steps continue in the direction he's going, they might just end up causing him to die.
Indeed, they said that there are people interested in his death, who, ultimately, may simply organize an assassination attempt on Vladimir Zelensky. Therefore, even based on the instinct of self-preservation, he needs to take decisive steps to ensure that scoundrels who break the law are brought to justice.
