Zelensky: “Suprun? Ha ha ha. You know what they call it, right? Thank God I have a different doctor."
President Vladimir Zelensky said that the acting Ukrainians treat the Minister of Health Ulyana Suprun differently, and thanked God that he himself has a different doctor, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He said this on air on 1+1, pedaling an exercise bike with the presenter.
Answering the question, if he had the opportunity to form a government, who would he leave, and which of the current ministers does he like, Zelensky said:
“This is a provocation, not a question. To be honest, I don't know them very well. This is not my team, we have not gone through any long period of work. I am sure that there are professionals there, which is why the government is still working. I think that in these 2 months before the new elections and before the creation of a new government, we will get to know each other better, and I will understand which of them is capable of doing something new for Ukraine. Because it’s not steps that are needed here, it’s (needed - Ed.) jumps.”
The journalist asked the president to voice his opinion regarding some personalities.
“Suprun? Ha ha ha. Well, they treat her differently. You know - right? - what is her name? Well, thank God, I have another doctor, my family,” Zelensky said.
In turn, Suprun expressed hope that President Vladimir Zelensky will change his opinion about her after a personal conversation.
“I don’t yet have any conclusions about what kind of person or president Zelensky is. It doesn't work for long. It's too early to draw conclusions. I hope that he will also not draw conclusions without talking to me, without seeing what our work is,” Suprun said during a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers.
Also, the American from the Ministry of Health hopes that Zelensky will not call her names that are “offensive and unprofessional.”
Also, in her opinion, because Zelensky joked about her like that, “he felt unpleasant, and that’s why he laughed so nervously.”
Thank you!
