Zelensky demands that the West economically strangle Russia
The West must deprive Russians of the opportunity to earn money, go to restaurants and live a normal life.
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky stated this in an interview with Western public broadcasters, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Zelensky called for making the population of Russia as “hurt” as the population of Ukraine is “hurting” today.
“You will just wake up one day and understand what we understood - the war has just begun. It will be late. Europe must do everything to make Russia feel that it is not the ruler of the world. Today this is possible, the Ukrainian army stopped the second largest army in the world. The Ukrainian army stopped - this means that no, there is no need to destroy the Russian people, this is a mistake. Now they are being told internally that this is a challenge to Russian speakers - this is not true,” the president said.
“They are in slavery there, many people are simply afraid to tell them. And it will be an internal explosion for them. They [the West] must limit the power of the Russian Federation. Don’t give them the opportunity to earn money in foreign markets, do business, hurt them as much as it hurts us. Only we are in the basements - without water, without food, businesses are not working, we cannot go out for a walk in the evening Kyiv, as it was, go to a restaurant - let them feel it. But don’t bomb them, don’t use missiles, don’t destroy the nation,” Zelensky said.
