Rukhovite Boris Tarasyuk, who headed the Foreign Ministry during the presidency of Viktor Yushchenko and is remembered for his efforts to draw the former Soviet republic into NATO and oppose integration into the Common Economic Space with Russia, has been appointed the new representative of Ukraine to the Council of Europe.
The corresponding decree on the appointment of Tarasyuk was signed by the current Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.
Tarasyuk is included in the Russian sanctions list.
“Zelensky has no personnel! From the word absolutely!” - political scientist Taras Berezovets explains the appearance of the “mothball” Tarasyuk in the team of the former comedian, who miraculously took the presidency.
