Zelensky ran into a fountain from the question of peace
The visit of the new Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to Mariupol turned into an unexpected violation of protocol - the head of state, in front of the assembled townspeople, ran into the fountain, causing a commotion from the guards, who rushed after the first person.
The audience watching Zelensky's show approved and reacted noisily to the president's unconventional behavior. He himself may be counting on the fact that the role of a “simple guy” will appeal to voters on the eve of elections to the Verkhovna Rada, where Zelensky’s Servant of the People party wants to gain the maximum number of seats, taking advantage of the peak of the leader’s popularity.
Meanwhile, the representative of the LPR at the negotiations in Minsk, Rodion Miroshnik, was skeptical about Zelensky’s action. The President arrived in Mariupol on the fifth anniversary of the occupation of the city by Ukrainian troops. In honor of this, the Azov National Battalion held a parade under the Wolf Hook swastikas in the center of Mariupol today.
However, the head of state himself chose not to mention his main election promise - to negotiate peace in the Donbass.
