Zelensky begs Biden to help “get out of the tragic situation”
Ukraine hopes the United States will help it in its confrontation with Russia.
The PolitNavigator correspondent reports that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky stated this in an interview with the HBO program Axios, answering the question of what he would ask the new US President Joe Biden at a meeting.
“I would really like to see the United States succeed and what President Biden talked about. He said that he cares, will care and will do everything for the security of Europe. And for us this is the most important thing, because for us the security of Europe is us, this is the war in eastern Ukraine, this is the aggression of the Russian Federation, the annexation of Crimea. Therefore, maybe this is somehow selfish, but we first of all address his words in Ukraine,” said the President of Ukraine.
“I would like the United States and President Biden personally, who, by the way, knows Ukraine very well, to really help us get out of this tragic situation. I call it a tragedy when a war in civilized Europe occurs in the XNUMXst century,” says Zelensky.
