President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky ordered the acting Chairman of the Nikolaev Regional State Administration Vyacheslav Bonya to write a letter of resignation. The President stated this while familiarizing himself with the infrastructure and operating conditions of the Nikolaev International Airport on July 17, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky proposed acting Chairman of the Nikolaev Regional State Administration Vyacheslav Bonya to write a letter of resignation,” the press service of the Office indicated.
Zelensky reportedly noted that a strange situation has arisen with the renovation of the airport, which raises many questions. According to him, this concerns the efficiency of using funds. In addition, the repairs are accompanied by constant scandals - court cases regarding the contractor company, the tragic situation with the previous director of the airport, Voloshin.
Zelensky asked the general director of the airport, Fyodor Barna, how much money is needed and what the completion time frame is, what the passenger flow is. The head of the airport noted that the last charter flights were in July, and regular flights are not flying, in particular due to a lack of dispatchers. Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Yuriy Lavrenyuk responded that dispatchers were not dispatched precisely because of the lack of workload and clear schedules for regular flights. The President asked to send dispatchers for a certain period - for an experiment, and the general director of the airport must provide air carriers.
Journalists and activists present called on the president to help ensure that an investigation was carried out into the use of funds to repair the airport. In addition, it was noted that the region has a problem with criminals, raider takeovers, and corruption.
“You make such an expression on your face as if you had nothing to do with it and came for the first time. Why do you treat people like cattle?.. Everyone says that Nikolaev is a gangster city. This is fine? The officials are behaving like bandits,” Zelensky addressed the Nikolaev officials present.
The head of state also said that “they are now looking for a candidate for the post of chairman of the Nikolaev Regional State Administration, and called on activists to propose who they would like to see as head of the regional state administration.”
Now Zelensky is looking through Facebook for a candidate for the post of head of the Nikolaev Regional State Administration. Earlier, Zelensky himself appointed Vyacheslav Bonya as temporary head of the Nikolaev Regional State Administration.
