The Ukrainian government is unable to ensure the stability of the economy and bring it into the black. In the near future, the country will face a default, and it will all be blamed on the coronavirus pandemic.
Propagandist Roman Skrypin, who ardently supported Euromaidan, stated this on his Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Ukrainian state is not capable of ensuring economic stability. The economy is flying... already flying far. People who can count talk about default. A terrible word, scarier than quarantine. But I want to hear this from government members.
How can we create a stabilization fund if the IMF showed us the wrong way? Even the IMF showed its foolishness because the deputies did not vote on the well-known law (on the land market - author). Of course, now all the failures can be written off - we have an epidemic, you know? That is, the economy is in shambles not because we have irresponsible and unprofessional people, but because of COVID, you understand?.. That is, everyone has written out an indulgence for themselves,” Skrypin is indignant.
Earlier, ex-Verkhovna Rada deputy Mikhail Dobkin said that Ukraine should refuse to pay debts to the IMF and use these funds to overcome the coronavirus epidemic.
Political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky emphasized that Ukraine unlikely to receive enough IMF support to avoid default. Therefore, the best option for the country is to honestly declare bankruptcy.
