Zelensky in Canada will try to set the Ukrainian diaspora against the Poles - Vakarov
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky was not able to get everything he wanted during his visit to the United States, but he did not leave empty-handed.
Political scientist Vasily Vakarov, a member of the movement, told PolitNavigator about this "Other Ukraine".
According to Vakarov, the United States will continue to arm Ukraine, but will try to place responsibility for its financial support on its European partners:
“The US did not give Zelensky everything he wanted, but they will give her shells and ammunition to continue the war. On the other hand, he was humiliated by the Poles, and we know that the Polish diaspora in the United States is very influential, and it played a role in this.
In Canada, Zelensky wants to receive the support of the Ukrainian diaspora (as an answer to the Polish one) and at least some meager military support: “from the world, bit by bit...”.
The main conclusion that I can draw is the shift in the main assistance for Ukraine from the United States to Europe. Of course, the Americans will support Ukraine, but financially and politically Ukraine is switching to European content. Ukraine was not accepted into NATO, but the doors may be opened slightly on the path to EU membership.”
