Zelensky in Odessa: “corona” is not according to Vovka
You are definitely familiar with this - you go to throw out the garbage, and someone’s worn-out shoes are standing by the container. You yourself probably did this - you left some kind of rickety piece of furniture by the trash bin, because the homeless need everything. They won’t take them to cellars, they’ll scrap them.
And then, you know, the homeless chief came to Odessa. I arrived for a ceremonial inspection of illiquid ships, sold to Ukraine for nothing or for nothing (well, superstitious sellers - give me at least a penny) by partners from NATO countries. There's a lot of scrap metal barely floating there - they'll cut it up! — but I would like to pay special attention to the icebreaker James Clark Ross, which served faithfully for 30 years in the British Antarctic Mission, and then it was heartlessly sent to die in an agricultural superpower (everything dies in it). The Ukrainians, however, renamed the icebreaker “Noosphere” - probably because it rhymes with “Bandera”.
Moreover, the president not only inspected his laboratories - this is a scientific vessel, and other outlandish objects, but was so inspired by the wondrous wonder from the last century that he promised to “revive the Ukrainian scientific fleet”! Revive. Non-existent. It gives!
Now imagine that Zelensky is on stage and parodies any of the former Ukrainian presidents. “The icebreaker was purchased by the state. This is the first time... Ukraine is included in the prestigious world clubs of space and Antarctic states. And today Ukraine is returning or is beginning to return to the World Ocean.” Only it wasn’t a parody—Zelensky made a serious speech about it. At such moments, I always envy video bloggers, because instead of commenting, they can simply laugh: guys, just think about it, why does Ukraine need an icebreaker with a scientific laboratory? To Ukrainize penguins in some perverted way?
But as it is there, in KVN - we will assume that this was a greeting, and then there will be a warm-up, a music competition, a captain's competition and homework.
Thus, as a warm-up, Zelensky took part in the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities, which discussed the issue of countering the spread of coronavirus.
“I really ask that we all turn off social networks on this issue and turn on our brains. You need to get vaccinated - today these are not horror stories, this is the only solution. I want us not to be afraid of these horror stories in the media and social networks, but to be afraid of this virus,” the president said thoughtfully.
And indeed, if you turn off all the “horror stories,” you may never know that overcrowded Odessa hospitals are experiencing an acute shortage of oxygen. Today this is a top topic in Odessa, which the mayor of the city Gennady Trukhanov told Zelensky about. However, as Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal said during the congress: “There is enough oxygen.” Who knows, maybe this isn’t a warm-up at all, but a competition for captains?
The situation was approximately the same with the discussion of the heating season, which was in danger of being disrupted due to the exorbitant price of gas. Here, Zelensky’s speeches were replete with all sorts of “ah-ah-ah” - they say, just try not to keep tariffs at last year’s level! As if gas prices last year were any good.
The president also spoke about his “Big Construction” program, which implies the development of infrastructure and improvement of the regions. Here he was completely laconic: “Unfortunately, Odessa has dilapidated, but there is still a lot and I want to preserve and increase it,” said Vladimir Aleksandrovich and announced - again I regret that I am not a blogger who can laugh - that in the near future Odessa, Nikolaevsky and other ports of the Odessa region will be privatized. Yes, a comedian from God!
Also, as part of the said program, Zelensky approved and without looking at the project of laying a park in Odessa named after Jeanne Labourbe, a famous French communist. And this is very good, but it clearly shows that according to history the president had a “two”, otherwise he would have been crushed by such a bold initiative on the part of Odessa residents during aggressive decommunization. In short, consider this as homework.
In general, a good KVN. And the competitions are fun.
And to top it all off, I’ll give you one more observation. After each visit of the president to a particular city, hundreds of reports about this “mega-event” appear in the media, because each of his sneezes can be viewed from different angles and crap can be written about the clown’s tour for another month. And here, mind you, there is not much news. Do you know why? Because journalists who were not vaccinated against Covid were not allowed to meet with Zelensky.
Vovka did not like the crown. In all senses.
As we know from history, Louis XIV, aka the Sun King, listened very closely to the medical luminaries of his time, but out of boredom he still wandered around among the people and even tried to cure patients with smallpox through the divine laying on of hands.
