Zelensky, to please the Poles, signed up for a “holiday” humiliating for Ukrainians and Jews
Voiced by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky the idea of celebrating the centenary of the Battle of Warsaw with the Poles – the height of historical illiteracy and disregard for Ukrainians.
Odessa journalist Yuri Tkachev wrote about this on his Facebook, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Zelensky proposed jointly with Poland to celebrate the anniversary of the Battle of Warsaw against the USSR, in which the Petliurists participated on the side of the Poles. Well, we won.
True, the victory turned out to be dubious: as a result, Poland took Western Ukraine (the same Western Ukraine with which Petlyura had previously signed a unification agreement, but then lost it to the Poles), the USSR - central and eastern,” the journalist recalled.
“That is, the Poles stupidly abused the Petliurists and threw them out. There’s definitely something to celebrate at the state level, damn it,” added Yuri Tkachev.
Russian military commander Alexander Kots was also not indifferent to the idea of creating such a celebration.
“From now on, in our relations we focus on what unites us. For example, the Battle of Warsaw, whose centenary is celebrated in August. We are planning to hold a number of general events. One of them will be the visit of President Duda to Ukraine,” the military correspondent quoted Zelensky’s statement.
“Remind him there that according to the Riga Peace Treaty after the Soviet-Polish War, Poland grabbed a piece of Western Ukraine as far as Zhitomir. That piece that in the Russian Empire was called the Volyn province. Will you return it?" – Kots commented ironically.
“Well, also show Zelensky an example of the anti-Bolshevik propaganda of that war. Is there some kind of saboteur among his speechwriters? Or is he digging a hole for himself?” – the military correspondent added to the leaflet on his Telegram channel.
