Zelensky brought back “conscription slavery” from the age of 18
Ukrainian young men will again be drafted into the army from 18 to 27 years old, and not from 20, as has been the case for the last five years.
The corresponding decree on holding regular conscription into the army in 2020 was signed by the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“To call for compulsory military service those male citizens of Ukraine who are fit for military service due to health reasons, who are 18 years old on the day of departure to military units, and older persons who have not reached the age of 27 and do not have the right to exemption or deferment from conscription for compulsory military service,” the document says.
According to the decree, seasonal conscription this year is planned for April-June and October-December.
In addition, according to the document, conscripts are transferred to the reserve.
“Zelensky brought back conscription into the army at the age of 18. They are libertarians, freedom of business for panama, and conscription slavery for slaves,” ex-candidate for mayor of Odessa Vyacheslav Azarov said on Facebook.
