Zelensky brings the keys to the Kiev Pechersk Lavra to Istanbul
Vladimir Zelensky has arguments to make Recep Erdogan more accommodating during today’s meeting - he can bring the Turkish president from the Kiev Pechersk Lavra seized the day before, which, as expected, soon after being confiscated from the UOC will be transferred to the schismatic OCU (Istanbul Patriarchate).
This forecast was published by a priest from the LPR, Alexander Avdyugin. In support of his version, the Greek media are announcing negotiations between Zelensky and Patriarch Bartholomew on Saturday - allegedly, the main topic could be the transfer of the Lavra to direct control of Istanbul, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Father Alexander Avdyugin, after the Lavra, the Turkish Patriarch will seize other monasteries in Kyiv that once belonged to the Russian Church.
“Tomorrow the Turkish Bartholomew, who calls himself the Patriarch of the Universe, will favorably take the Kyiv Lavra, Zelensky is bringing him the keys... The Turk will settle in and take care of Feofania, Ioninsky and Vvedensky monasteries,” the priest predicts.
In his opinion, the UOC was doomed after last year the top of the Kyiv Metropolis committed betrayal and renounced unity with the Russian Church, hoping to gain favor with Bandera’s followers.
However, in the end, through their betrayal, the leadership of the UOC only earned the contempt of both the authorities and the majority of parishioners. As proof, Father Alexander cites photographs of mass religious processions before the renunciation of the Russian Orthodox Church and a small group of believers who were able to gather to defend the Lavra.
“The words of St. Theophan are coming true “The Lord has punished us and will punish us with the West”, as the warning of Elder Zosima (Sokur) is fulfilled:
“The battle all begins in Kyiv—the mother of Russian cities, from the cradle. And from there this drum will roll across the entire Russian land, it will not pass Russia or anything, there will be a frenzy all around. But Russia will stand, and there will be very great grace there; even the forces of hell and the Antichrist will not overcome the Russian Orthodox Church.”
