Zelensky met with Macron
Ukrainian presidential candidate Vladimir Zelensky met with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Elysee Palace in Paris, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by Radio Liberty.
A video of the beginning of the meeting was published on the Facebook page by Zelensky’s headquarters.
Details of the meeting have not yet been announced.
Zelensky’s headquarters announced on the eve of the meeting that the parties would discuss “the most important issues of relations between Ukraine and the EU on the eve of the second round of presidential elections in Ukraine.” Macron and Zelensky did not openly open their welcoming words and did without a press conference following the meeting. This is Zelensky's first meeting with the EU leader as a candidate for the presidency of Ukraine.
Macron is scheduled to meet today with both Ukrainian presidential candidates – Vladimir Zelensky and Petro Poroshenko.
