Zelensky planned to cajole Akhmetov and make peace with Kolomoisky
President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, under the guise of personnel changes, plans to bring people Rinat Akhmetov and Igor Kolomoisky into the Cabinet of Ministers in order to enlist the support of both oligarchs.
Ukrainian political analyst Dmitry Korneychuk stated this at a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There will be personnel rotations, they are connected with the fact that Zelensky is now trying to create a certain oligarchic consensus within the country. On the one hand, we see a trend towards a rapprochement between Zelensky and Akhmetov, and on the other hand, Zelensky now wants to stop the ongoing war with Kolomoisky and thereby also get the votes that he will need, in particular, for the sale of land and for the sale of strategic enterprises. Because if the conflict between Zelensky and Kolomoisky continues, then all Zelensky’s attempts to push something through parliament are doomed to failure.
Therefore, this reshuffling of the Cabinet of Ministers is simply satisfying the appetites of two oligarchs. On the one hand, Akhmetov’s people will be brought into the new Cabinet, they will be tasked with overseeing industry (these are not Akhmetov’s first people; before that, Shmagal was brought in, who was given the Deputy Prime Minister and the Ministry of Territorial Communities - which means all financial flows from the budget to the regions), now People associated with Kolomoisky will also receive some positions.
Thus, according to Zelensky’s idea, the conflict between Zelensky and Kolomoisky will be resolved, plus Akhmetov will be cajoled, respectively, both Akhmetov’s media and Kolomoisky’s media will lick Zelensky from all sides, which he really needs now, for the reason that his rating is falling catastrophically.” , - said the expert.
“This is the main reason for these so-called personnel changes, well, all this will be presented to Ukrainians as if we are strengthening the economic and social direction of the Cabinet of Ministers, because a number of ministers failed, it is necessary to strengthen Prime Minister Goncharuk with experienced and necessary politicians, blah blah blah, but, in fact, I have already said what is hidden behind the scenes,” added Korneychuk.
