Zelensky lures Ukrainians who have left abroad with accessible and cheap loans
President Vladimir Zelensky announced the “Come Back and Stay” state program, the goal of which is to bring Ukrainians back from abroad, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The president announced this in a video message on his Facebook page.
The first stage of the program is the opportunity to obtain affordable loans for your own business.
“During my inauguration, I said that there are 65 million Ukrainians around the world and we really want you to return home. We also want those who have given up and plan to leave Ukraine to stay. Therefore, we are launching a new state program “Come back and stay,” the president said.
Zelensky said that the first stage of the program is affordable loans for your own business in the amount of 1,5 million hryvnia for 5 years with the following conditions:
— 5% for new and existing businesses that will create at least 2 jobs.
— 7% for a business with revenue up to 25 million hryvnia, which will not create new jobs. In this case, for each new employee the rate will be reduced by 0,5%.
— 9% for an already operating business that has revenue of 25-50 million UAH.
“If this works the way it should, it will be a huge incentive for business development in the country. The main thing is to prevent schemes. Which in our country is a common occurrence in any state programs,” the Klymenko Time telegram channel comments on the presidential initiative.
