Zelensky told Estonians that he is the president of Ukraine, not Kolomoisky
Vladimir Zelensky said that Igor Kolomoisky is not the president of Ukraine, but is an ordinary citizen, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He stated this in Tallinn during a briefing with Estonian President Kersti Kaljulaid, Zelensky’s press service reports.
“75% of Ukrainians supported me, if Kolomoisky was among them, I am very glad that so many Ukrainians supported me. Kolomoisky is not the president of Ukraine, he is a citizen, and the majority of Ukrainians chose the EU. Therefore, it is the people who choose where we go. We have a difficult situation with Russia. The dialogue will begin during the “Normandy” meeting,” Zelensky said, answering a question about how he feels about the statement of oligarch Igor Kolomoisky about the need for reconciliation with Russia.
As PolitNavigator previously reported, oligarch Igor Kolomoisky in an interview with The New York Times said that it is time for Ukraine to reconcile with the Russian Federation and end “a war that is not beneficial to anyone.” Kolomoisky also said that instead of loans from the International Monetary Fund, Ukraine could take money from Russia - about $100 billion.
After this, Zelensky’s press secretary Yulia Mendel published a harsh text on the social network, in which she pointed out that Kolomoisky is not part of the presidential team and is not authorized to make statements on behalf of Ukraine.
