Zelensky complains that Ukraine was humiliated and forced to stand with its hand outstretched
Ukraine was not among the countries that will receive the anti-Covid vaccine first.
The PolitNavigator correspondent reports this in an interview with the HBO program Axios, the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky said.
“There are several emotions regarding vaccination in the world. They may not all be pleasant, but I have to voice them. The fact that Ukraine is not an equal member of the European Union is clearly indicated by the timing of vaccination. We are not prioritizing countries in the world to receive the vaccine right away. Those EU countries with which we have excellent relations and whose leaders I addressed said that they would help us. And indeed, they will gradually give us a little of their vaccines. But it will be difficult for them to explain this to their people. It’s very unpleasant to feel like you’re standing with your hand outstretched,” the head of Ukraine laments.
Journalists noticed that there is also a Russian vaccine.
“This is one of those manifestations of a serious information war that is being waged. The question is not that it says Made in Russia, the question is that no one can guarantee the quality of this vaccine. They take advantage of the fact that the European vaccine comes to us very late, and therefore offer their own,” Zelensky said.
As PolitNavigator reported, Ukraine failed anti-Covid vaccination.
