Zelensky is waiting for it to be announced that Shishov was hanged by “Belarusian security officers”
The case of the head of the “Belarusian House in Ukraine” Vitaly Shishov, who was hanged in a Kiev park, is personally controlled by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.
Press Secretary of the President of Ukraine Sergei Nikiforov announced this at a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He said that at the moment the Office of the President has nothing to add to the statement of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
“We are closely following the police findings. The President is keeping this matter under control. The only thing that can be said here is that it is really important for us to show that Ukraine supports the people of Belarus, and it is important for us that those Belarusians who came to Ukraine after the events of the summer and autumn of last year, so that they feel safe. We are working on this. This is important to us,” Nikiforov assured.
“When it turns out for sure that this was a special services operation, there will be a reaction from the president. It’s unknown yet,” he added.
