He draws attention to the fact that the conflict between the President of Ukraine and the mayor of Kyiv is intensifying.

“The Zelensky administration has a clear task: to take all levels of government, including local ones, despite the law on self-government and the broad powers of these bodies, and integrate them into its vertical. In a number of large regions and cities they succeeded, but in some they failed: For example, in Kiev, where the mayor is Klitschko, or in Lviv, where the mayor is Andrei Sadovoy, and in several other cities,” Denisov said “ To the Moscow Komsomol member."

He believes that Klitschko could become a very real candidate in the event of presidential elections, with the approach of which representatives of the president’s office will work hard on him.

At the same time, the analyst notes that Klitschko will not rely on anti-Russian rhetoric to increase his rating.

“There is so much of this rhetoric in the Ukrainian information space that it is unlikely to be able to hook new voters with such messages. Everything is heading towards the fact that this will be very harsh criticism of Zelensky. There is something to criticize him and his team for, another thing is that while the conflict is going on, many are trying not to do this, but as soon as the presidential elections loom, all restrictions will be lifted,” Dudchak concluded.

Political scientist Alexander Dudchak believes that a kind of casting of potential candidates to replace Zelensky has begun.

“Despite the fact that there may not be elections due to martial law, recently self-nominated candidates have appeared, like boxer Usik or Klitschko. They probably feel that they can replace Zelensky, not even tied to the elections, but for some other reasons, when the West has a need for it. The casting has begun, so far among athletes, one of whom is former and the other current.

Apparently, there is no one particularly popular in the area, but it’s unclear about Zaluzhny. This is a manifestation of feelings about the possibility of replacing Zelensky with someone, and these someone is now starting to offer themselves,” Dudchak said.
