Zelensky was compared to Metropolitan Onuphry
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky on the church issue runs counter to the line of his predecessor Petro Poroshenko.
The head of the press service of the UOC, Vasily Anisimov, stated this on radio Radonezh, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The new president gave the go-ahead for all this to be stopped, because he stated more than once that he is the president of the rule of law. That is, all this inertia that was swirled by President Poroshenko, orders were given there, remember, both in regions and in districts, and there, even during this tomos, some governor speaks and says: “Our dear president, we According to our calculations, there are about six hundred who are already ready to cross.” But we said then that, firstly, they did not even dissolve for the simple reason that you cannot dissolve. Our church does not have the status of a legal entity; in our country, each community must dissolve itself and transfer to the OCU.
Not a single Filaret community out of four thousand did this, and not a single one out of five hundred autocephalous ones. At the same time, for some reason they are all taking away our churches, that is, they themselves did not move there; moreover, Filaret said: “We are not going to cross.” As is expected in our country, with any lie, the Ministry of Culture immediately came out and said: “No, Mikhail Antonovich, you no longer exist,” and the Ministry of Justice spoke: “Yes, it does exist, it’s you who don’t exist along with these same ones.” And here Macarius adds fuel to the fire, the head of the UAOC. says: “And I’m not going to disband, because Filaret is not disbanding.” So why didn’t you dissolve yourself, didn’t form, didn’t create, and at the same time, with all these bandit militants, you seize our churches, force our unfortunate priests to violence, split up communities, sow discord?
We, for example, have about 71 churches, I looked at the statistics, with the help of administrative pressure, lies, the churches were transferred without a fight, and 85 were simply massacres, that is, when they come with violence, they will definitely find one person, The local Russophobic crowd immediately comes to his aid, the administration comes right there - and please, it ends with the community falling apart, spitting, fighting, the temple is closed, we pray under the fence and they are not allowed in either,” said Anisimov.
The journalist also emphasized that the head of the UOC, Metropolitan Onufry, is close to Zelensky, since the previous regime also did its best to portray him as an outcast, but did not bend to the line of the war party.
“I know that as soon as he was elected, he met with Filaret, there was a conversation for almost 12 minutes, then with Epiphanius, there was also 10, and with His Beatitude they talked for an hour, and then they even both had dinner together, that is, there was a deep, interested conversation. And then you understand what a thing, President Zelensky greatly respects His Beatitude for one simple reason. He spent only two months in this situation, when everyone spits on you: he’s a drug addict, that he’s a clown, a puppet - we can type twenty of the most vile words, and he’s only been stuck in this for two months.
And he sees what position His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry takes, he has been doing this for five years, and Zelensky was a fifth column, and was a Jew, and whatever. That is, everything that could be scooped up was rolled back and forth like a ball, cultural figures perform there, some people from the same OCU, some theologians, almost the same rector, they also performed there, they said that whoever votes for Zelensky is already burning in hell, and so on. It is clear that he is a young man, inexperienced in this area, everyone was really dumbfounded, did not think that there was such pressure... It is clear that the man was shocked by this, but when he saw His Beatitude and the Church, which was discredited, why, because she, in fact, she was the only one who opposed the war party,” Anisimov added.
