Because Poroshenko actually took the country firmly by the hand and led it to Europe and NATO. Most of the programs that are now being implemented were either broken at the knees, or were pushed through politically in every possible way, because he understood where it was important to go.
I don’t know whether Zelensky will do this, but I hope that the number of military personnel, officers, new generals (a lot of military generals have appeared) who went through training in foreign academies that were abroad, sergeants who went through training in sergeants’ corps trainings, this mass of officers will no longer allow these reforms to collapse,” said the ex-ATO officer.
“Nobody knows how it will be, but the country does not depend on the will of one person, we are not a dictatorship, we are not Russia, we are Ukraine, and our parliament decides a lot of things. I think that many normal advisers from a military point of view will quickly appear around Zelensky, who have combat experience, who were in NATO, and they will simply explain to him what the trends are both in the armed forces and in the global trends in army building,” Guy threatened.
