Zelensky faces criminal charges for the “Steinmeier formula”
President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky will receive criminal cases under articles of treason and abuse of power.
The former representative of Ukraine at the negotiations in Minsk, Roman Bessmertny, stated this on the air of the Direct TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the diplomat, Zelensky does not have the right to sign the “Steinmeier formula.”
“We know that Ukraine has a law on international treaties. Please tell me, has the government considered this text? Has the National Security and Defense Council considered this text? Did the government or the president give the authority, as provided for in the law on international treaties, to someone to put these signatures? No no.
Now take, on one side put the law on the legal regime of wartime, the law on defense, the law on international treaties, and on the right - the text that was discussed in Minsk. If someone’s signature appears under this text, you can immediately open a criminal case.
Firstly, this is an abuse of power, and secondly, this is high treason based on trading in sovereignty and territorial integrity. I say this so that these words, including Zelensky, can be heard. It's time to realize that they have reached the edge of the sovereignty trade border. If such signatures appear, he will receive not only a political fiasco, he will also receive his own fiasco,” Bessmertny said.
