Zelensky is not advised to follow Poroshenko’s path
Outgoing President Petro Poroshenko wishes his successor, the newly elected head of state Vladimir Zelensky, to “follow his path,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Just follow the path of President Poroshenko,” Poroshenko said during a high-level conference for leaders of the Eastern Partnership countries on Tuesday in Brussels, answering a question from the moderator what advice he would give to Vladimir Zelensky.
“More reforms, more cooperation with the European Commission, with the European Council, with the European Union,” Poroshenko added.
Poroshenko also believes that one of the next stages should be the energy security of the European continent, and not just the Eastern Partnership countries.
“I want to say that we must believe that the next 10 years will be a success story, and maybe in 10 years we will gather here and say - yes, that’s how it happened. 20 years of the Eastern Partnership are even more successful than the first decade,” he concluded.
Poroshenko’s advice was criticized in his blog by the former first deputy prosecutor general of Ukraine, Renat Kuzmin.

“The Poroshenko Road” is the road to hell, this is the road against which the Ukrainian people voted in the 2019 presidential elections! And, if Zelensky suddenly decides to follow the advice of the unforgettable Pyotr Alekseevich, his short presidency will end tragically. In the meantime, we will carefully monitor the actions of the newly elected president, his first steps and personnel appointments and, God forbid, we will see confirmation that Zelensky agreed with Poroshenko’s proposal,” Kuzmin wrote on his page on the social network.
