Zelensky was offered to forget about Donbass or be given special status
The elected President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky has every chance and opportunity to end the war in Donbass.
The famous Ukrainian political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky stated this on the air of the Pozner program, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the expert, without a special status, these regions cannot be returned to Ukraine.
“Zelensky is not responsible for what happened. I don’t know who will advise him, but common sense simply says that this needs to be stopped and a choice made - do you want to return Donbass? Then you need to act in such and such a way, without alternative. Without providing special status, which, by the way, has already been voted by the Ukrainian parliament, but has not entered into force, or, roughly speaking, without granting broad autonomy, Donbass will not return.
And this is clear to everyone, including the enemies of this idea. Or we must come to terms with the fact that he will not return and then stop shelling on the basis of what is senseless. And none of the leaders can afford to say that we don’t need Donbass. Therefore, strict implementation of the Minsk Agreements,” Pogrebinsky said.
