Zelensky was asked to forget about Crimea and Donbass in order to lead Ukraine into the EU
To Vladimir Zelensky, whose victory in the presidential elections in Ukraine predicted by leading Kyiv sociologists, bellicose anti-Russian rhetoric must be avoided.
This opinion was expressed in an interview with Komsomolskaya Pravda by writer and public figure Zakhar Prilepin, answering the question of what he expects from Zelensky.
“I care how much Zelensky is interested in ensuring that his political fate does not end like his Poroshenko. Zelensky must honestly say: “Guys, we don’t have Crimea, no Donbass" We must accept this and build a path forward EU Ukraine. But so far Zelensky has said that Crimea is Ukraine,” the writer said.
According to him, Zelensky cannot say that Crimea is Russian, because “otherwise he will be classed as a national traitor.”
“He’s about to start playing around, saying belligerent nonsense. And then he will have to negotiate with Russia (he is not Poroshenko, with whom all bridges have been cut off). It would be better if he held his tongue, says Prilepin. “Then they will take it all out and present it to him.”
