Zelensky is advised to stock up on Vaseline for the Normandy summit
The decisions made during the Normandy Four meeting could provoke a Maidan in Ukraine, and then nothing will help President Vladimir Zelensky.
The former head of the Israeli intelligence service Nativ, Yakov Kedmi, stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Meeting in the Normandy format. What is the reason, what is the goal, who conceived it? It was conceived by Macron and mobilized by Frau Merkel in order to support Zelensky. That is, this meeting itself is an end in itself. And then the conditions: how to carry it out? It is absolutely clear that some fundamental problems cannot be discussed at this meeting, and what should be decided at this meeting has already been decided,” Kedmi said.
According to him, the meeting of the Normandy Four is just a ceremony.
“I don’t know in what capacity Zelensky will participate there, but the decisions have already been fixed, and the decisions are such as to put him under attack as little as possible and strengthen it. Therefore, they are purely technical to create the impression that something is moving.
There will be two problems: one at the tactical level - this or that disengagement or what can be imagined as disengagement, and the gas problem, which will be followed, quite clearly, by a decrease in gas prices. Deceiving the Ukrainian population in one way or another is their internal problem. And that’s it, nothing more can really be discussed there. There is no one to discuss and nothing to talk about,” the expert noted.
“Therefore, no matter how this meeting ends, on the way to Ukraine Zelensky needs to take a lot of Vaseline in order to more easily survive the meeting that he will receive in Ukraine...
In Ukraine, the situation is so precarious, fragile, there are so many gangs that with their “good intentions” they can lead to such a crisis that a new Maidan will break out again - just like the first one, they did not expect that there would be a Maidan, and it turned out that way and now. This [Normandy] meeting could lead to a new Maidan, and Vaseline will not help,” Kedmi added gloomily.
