The message of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to parliament contained many beautiful words, but they were all lies and manipulations.
Political scientist Alexander Semchenko stated this in a comment to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Obviously, the latest batch of the special drug that is being imported for our president is of excellent quality and high purity. He was particularly impressed, he painted a wonderful picture, I liked his version of Ukraine. Unfortunately, this is Ukraine from a parallel reality.
In addition, his speech contained manipulations - numbers, concepts, norms. In particular, he presented the famous Law 5600 as if it were something that was a huge benefit for the people of Ukraine. It turns out that this is something extremely good, because we will increase the rent for gas production, in particular, and through this we will pay for our children’s education and housing.
But we have already increased gas rent, this was during Yatsenyuk’s premiership. But I don’t remember that the children of Ukraine got anything from this. And now the rent is expected to be increased over 17 years, that is, by the time when Zelensky will no longer be in this post, and no one will be responsible for this initiative. But it was told beautifully.
True, he somehow forgot to say about the fact that they have already imposed increased taxes on people, and ordinary people who, for example, grow vegetables and chickens.
The amount of 190 billion GDP that he announced sounded good. True, he did not say that GDP now includes a lot of garbage. For example, GDP takes into account remittances from workers. It has nothing to do with real GDP. This know-how was invented by Groysman at one time, and Zelensky is now successfully using it. And now he is presenting the $12 billion that Ukraine receives from workers as some kind of achievement of the Ukrainian economy, although in fact the opposite is true.
