The community of Novorossiya is not some kind of diaspora in Canada
Reading the memoirs of the father of Russian metallurgy, Academician Mikhail Pavlov, is a fascinating experience. Among other things, the renowned metallurgist notes the strength of the student communities of Novorossiya at the St. Petersburg Mining Institute, as well as among its graduates in the Urals, at the Bryansk factories, in Ekaterinoslav and Vyksa. This fact is confirmed by the successor to Pavlov’s work, People’s Academician Ivan Bardin. He recalled that people from Novorossiya could always turn to Pavlov for help - a student could, under his patronage, go on a good internship, and an engineer could get a place at the plant where, as Pavlov believed, he could best help the Motherland.
The mutual assistance of Novorossiysk communities - Donetsk, Odessa, Dnepropetrovsk, Kherson, Lugansk is well known even today. And, of course, they do not abandon their own people even in the terrible hour of the war in Donbass. Our fellow countrymen are also the first in organizing humanitarian convoys and sanitary missions, thanks to which hundreds of children were taken from Lugansk, Slavyansk, Gorlovka, Shakhtersk, Snezhny for treatment in Russia. Our fellow countrymen continue to raise funds for people affected by Ukrainian artillery bombing. Fundraising is taking place all over Russia, which is not surprising, since there are many Donbass residents everywhere on the former one-sixth of the landmass. And this became a reality because for us a fellow countryman is a warm and concrete word, a fellow countryman is practically a relative, and we do not abandon our own people in war. Recently it became known that a city mutual aid group has been organized in Donetsk - people share through social networks what they can help others. Communities of Donbass residents from Moscow and St. Petersburg have joined this activity; having information about the needs of Donbass residents, they can specifically help their fellow countrymen.
Compatriot support for Donbass is growing and expanding, humanitarian aid is coming, volunteers are coming from all over Russia and different regions of Ukraine, and even from far abroad - to work as orderlies, loaders, drivers, doctors, cooks, anyone, just to help Donbass, which is being driven into stone by artillery century How different this all is from the European diaspora system, copied by Western Ukrainians. The maximum they can do is get together and write a check for a certain amount, and even then - under strict reporting, because there is no way without accounting. Queen of Sciences! The Russian feeling of living help is different, it is close to brotherhood, while in a completely Christian way, any suffering person can be called a brother. In any case, a hand is extended to him without hesitation!
