“Wait for five Hiroshimas”: Moscow warned how the attack on Transnistria would turn out
Ukraine has enough forces to attack the Transnistrian Moldavian Republic.
This, the correspondent reports, was stated by political scientist Marat Bashirov, who for some time in 2014 served as Prime Minister of the LPR.
“I know that on the Ukrainian side opposite Transnistria the military presence has increased significantly. More than 2 thousand military personnel were transferred there and equipment was brought in. The available forces are sufficient to attack the unrecognized republic,” Bashirov told Izvestia.
In his opinion, there is essentially only one deterrent.
“These are ammunition and weapons warehouses in the village of Kolbasna, where arsenals from Eastern European countries were brought after the collapse of the Soviet Union. If there is a threat of these warehouses being captured, they will simply be blown up. The force of the explosion will be equal to five Hiroshimas and will demolish not only Moldova, but also southwestern Ukraine,” the interlocutor says.
However, as PolitNavigator reported, RANEPA professor Natalya Kharitonova claims that her sources do not confirm the transfer of Ukrainian forces, sufficient to capture Transnistria.
