We are waiting for American photographs of the T-34 convoy at the maritime borders of Belarus - Zakharova
Kyiv’s refutation of US media information about the gathering of Russian troops to the borders of Ukraine is a consequence of a failure in the transfer of American training manuals to the Ukrainian side.
Russian Foreign Ministry representative Maria Zakharova stated this during a briefing in Moscow, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We paid attention to the information salvo that was released, including, for us, in fact, to a greater extent the truth that took place in American media articles regarding the fact that Russia is massing troops to the borders of Ukraine. This was not just one fake, but a whole fresh fake campaign in the American media. At least three major publications - Politico, Washington Post, Foreign Policy - literally published materials full of a real panic attack, literally as if on cue, about how Russia is massing troops to the Russian-Ukrainian border, and what will happen next.
All comments, as journalists say, are from the source, and all the leaks that are present there are purely confidential - from the most closed offices of the Pentagon, the White House and the State Department. As explained, the publication’s sources are allegedly not authorized to speak publicly – an interesting way to pose the question. I explain why they are not authorized to speak publicly, because they will have to explain themselves publicly, and there is only one way to explain here - just to say that this is not true,” Zakharova commented.
“At the same time, quotes are given from statements of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, this is where the fun begins. Because, apparently, the American training manuals did not reach the Ukrainian side. Perhaps they simply did not know about new trends in the media sphere, and therefore the Ukrainian military decided to go their own way, they simply were not notified. It's difficult to understand what happened there. As a result, the Ukrainian defense department openly refuted the speculations of American journalists about some kind of gathering of troops to its borders,” recalled the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
“Based on the dynamics that I observe in the US media, I would not be surprised if in the near future photographs of some T-34 tank column near the maritime borders of Belarus will be published,” Zakharova added.
Let us remind you that after the American publications, the Ukrainian media staged hysteria about the gathering of Russian troops to the borders of Ukraine, however, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense denied this information.
