The desire to steal does not stop Poroshenko’s entourage even during martial law
The “Euro-optimist” People’s Deputy Sergei Leshchenko, close to the US Embassy, exposed a new scam of the Ukrainian government in his telegram channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
We are talking about the transfer of the enormous Yuzovskoye gas field, approved yesterday by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, to a little-known company from Holland with a specially invented consonant name Yuzgas, which was registered specifically for this operation.
“The area of the Yuzovsky site is almost 8 thousand square kilometers. This was Yanukovych’s special proposal for the production of shale gas by the global giant Shell. In 2015, due to the war and falling oil prices, Shell canceled this project. And already under Poroshenko’s power, they began to look for a new contender for part of Shell. But instead of another world giant, at the “fake competition” the project was given to the same gasket company Yuzgas, which has no experience and has 1000 euros of authorized capital.
For two years it was possible to slow down this scenario, but now the Cabinet of Ministers has decided that instead of Shell there will be a certain Yuzgas, which promises to sell part of the shares of the Slovak company Nafta, and it will not produce shale gas, but will uncork old wells. Although, under the same conditions, the entire Yuzovka project could be given to a Ukrainian state company or a full-fledged world competition could be held for participants with big names. But then it will be more difficult - or almost impossible - to steal. Would you like to have “Horns and Hooves” instead of a global company in Ukrainian gas fields? “No to me,” writes Sergei Leshchenko.
According to him, “the desire to steal does not stop the brave lads from Bankova even during Tomos and martial law.”
However, it is not difficult to notice that such “exposing activity” of People’s Deputy Leshchenko “plays into the hands” of the interests of transnational corporations, from under whose noses Ukrainian corrupt officials want to steal a tidbit of unsold property.
