“The implementation of this important project will significantly increase the intensity and safety of cargo and passenger transportation in southern directions, and will also provide access to the Crimean Peninsula,” commented on the progress of construction, Deputy Defense Minister Dmitry Bulgakov, who inspected the important construction site, was quoted by the publication.

“The new road will connect two stations by rail: Zhuravka in the Voronezh region and Millerovo in the Rostov region,” the publication notes. – Military and civilian experts planned to lay 122,5 kilometers of rails and sleepers by 2018. However, for many months they have been working ahead of schedule. Therefore, there is a possibility that the transport line bypassing Ukraine will be put into operation ahead of schedule. At the same time, railway stations are being built. The estimated date for their readiness is December of this year.”
